Song: Your Love Conquers All

There aren't too many Christian songs, surprisingly, that actually say the name Jesus instead of just 'you.' I wanted to rectify that and I thought I would write a song/poem/rhyme about who Jesus is and what He has done for me.

Jesus You have bought me with Your life
You have sampled death and its sting
Jesus You have saved me from
All the evil thoughts within

Jesus You are the good and kind shepherd
You have herded in all of Your sheep
When the lions threaten to draw near
Close to You I will keep

Your love it conquers all

Any love that man has known
Is just a glimpse of the love Christ has shown

Jesus You are the light in the dark
You have illuminated my wary steps
When my foot gets caught
You save me from the hidden depths

Jesus You set a fire to mould me
Softening the hard clay to shape and refine
Your efforts will not cease
Until I'm in Your presence divine

Your love it conquers all
Your love it conquers all
Any love that man has known
Is just a glimpse of the love Christ has shown

It is Jesus who fights my battles
It is Jesus who calls me from my prison
I know because of Him I have new life
And I am thankful for His death and resurrection
