I was inspired by a friend to read ‘Repeat The Sounding Joy’ by Christopher Ash. This is what flowed from my heart after reading the first 2 devotions:
Repeat the sounding joy
Of gifts that He employs
God sent his son for us
The Lord upon the cross
He once, it was foretold,
Would come to save our souls
This babe of humble state
Would grow in rich estate
His grace, his grace
Replaces our disgrace
His hope, his love
The joy that we embrace
The mystery revealed
A scroll that once was sealed
Was opened by the lamb
And held within his Hand
His blood-pierced hand, for me,
Was nailed upon a tree
And joy O joy of men
He died and rose again
His grace, his grace
Replaces our disgrace
His hope, his love
The joy that we embrace
One day Christ will return
And trumpets will be heard
His people gathered nigh
And with him now on high
O to see Your face
O this wondrous grace
Your people will be free
All because of Thee
